Chief of Police, Fishers Police Department
Mitch has been with the Fishers Police Department since 1991. Having risen through the ranks, Mitch has served in various roles of the agency as a patrol officer, detective, and patrol supervisor. Mitch was appointed the Assistant Chief in 2003 and now has served as the Chief of Police since September of 2016. During his time with the Police Department, he has seen the population of Fishers grow from 9,000 to over 90,000. The growth of the community and agency has provided unique challenges. Mitch has a BA in Criminal Justice and a MS in Administration of Justice. He is also a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy and the F.B.I. Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar. Mitch grew up in Indianapolis and has lived in Fishers since 1991. He has two adult children.
